The 2027 BYD Seal 06 launches at 99,900-155,900 yuan with 12 trims across DM-i hybrid and EV variants. It features Sky Eye-B advanced ADAS and a maximum CLTC range of 2,370 km.
Design and Space Upgrades
On August 11, BYD officially launched the 2027 Seal 06 under its Ocean Network. As a mid-cycle refresh, the model receives significant upgrades in exterior design, interior features, dimensions, and powertrain, priced from 99,900 to 155,900 yuan across 12 configurations in both DM-i hybrid and pure-electric forms.
The new design adopts BYD's Ocean Network family language with a closed integrated front fascia and smoked dual-lens LED headlights. The fastback coupe silhouette is retained, with sculptural hood lines reinforcing a sporty stance. Dimensions measure 4,870×1,890×1,495 mm with a 2,820 mm wheelbase, representing increases in length, width, and wheelbase over the outgoing model.
Intelligent Driving: LiDAR Dips Below 100,000 Yuan
The most groundbreaking upgrade is the democratization of advanced driver-assistance hardware. The range-topping variant carries an exterior-mounted LiDAR sensor and the Sky Eye-B ADAS laser version, enabling city navigation assist, highway navigation assist, and intelligent parking.
This marks BYD's first introduction of city NOA capability into the 100,000-yuan price segment, breaking the previous market pattern where such features were reserved for vehicles priced above 200,000 yuan. For importers in Central Asia and Russia, this configuration leap substantially enhances the competitiveness of Chinese offerings.
Powertrain: Dual Paths for Efficiency and Performance
The DM-i hybrid employs BYD's 5th-generation DM Super Hybrid System, pairing a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (74 kW) with a 175 kW drive motor. CLTC electric range reaches 320 km, with a fuel consumption of just 2.59 L/100km in charge-sustaining mode and a total range of 2,370 km.
The EV variant offers single-motor options of 120 kW and 240 kW, paired with 2nd-generation Blade Battery technology, delivering up to 630 km of CLTC range with flash-charging support.
| Variant | Starting Price (CNY) | Electric Range (km) | Total Range (km) | Fuel Consumption (L/100km) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DM-i Hybrid | 99,900 | Up to 320 | 2,370 | 2.59 |
| EV Pure Electric | TBA | Up to 630 | — | — |
Cabin and Tech: DiLink 150 Meets DeepSeek
The cabin retains a wrap-around layout with a 15.6-inch adaptive rotating悬浮Pad. Top trims add a head-up display, creating a multi-screen interaction ecosystem. The infotainment runs DiLink 150 integrated with the full DeepSeek large language model, significantly improving voice interaction and intelligent recommendations.
Comfort features include split-type ergonomic seats with electric adjustment, ventilation, and heating. The new electronic column shifter frees up center-console storage, while EV variants gain a 115-liter front trunk.
The chassis uses front MacPherson and rear five-link independent suspension. Top trims receive the Yunnian-C intelligent damping system, while all variants come standard with high-speed blowout stability control.
