Range ratings: up to 1,100 km, with clear differences across three versions

Source information shows that the CLTC ranges of the three Z9S versions are 780 km, 920 km, and 1,100 km, respectively. Denza calls the 1,100 km version the longest range record for a mass-produced all-electric vehicle, surpassing the previous record of 1,036 km held by the facelifted Denza Z9GT that launched in March this year.

The two sources differ on the mapping between battery capacity and versions: one source says all three versions are equipped with BYD's 102.3 kWh second-generation Blade Battery; the configuration table listed by the other source shows that the 1,100 km version corresponds to a 122.496 kWh battery, while the 780 km and 920 km versions correspond to a 102.326 kWh battery. Converted from the latter's data, the three models' WLTP ranges are approximately 891 km, 745 km, and 632 km.

Competitive Landscape and Overseas Market Observations

In terms of price and size, the Z9S will compete directly with mid-to-high-end all-electric sedans such as the Xiaomi SU7 and XPeng P7. Regarding the same brand's product lineup, Denza's China official website no longer lists the Z9; the newly added version of the facelifted Z9GT is priced at 329,800 yuan, 10.82% lower than the previously only on-sale all-electric e3 version.

As for overseas expansion, existing sources have not disclosed the Z9S's overseas launch timetable, target markets or export plans. The only available reference is price conversion: at 1 USD to 6.7628 yuan, 319,800 yuan is approximately 47,300 USD; another source, using different exchange rates, converts the three price tiers to 45,700, 51,400 and 55,700 USD.

From a product positioning perspective, the Z9S makes range ratings, fast charging capability and chassis features such as rear-wheel steering its main selling points. Among them, its 1,100 km CLTC range is the current record for mass-produced all-electric vehicles globally. However, range ratings are results under a specific test cycle, and its actual competitiveness in overseas markets will still depend on subsequent pricing strategy, channel arrangements and localization progress. There is currently no public information available to judge.
