Users can search for local life information within Doubao to generate travel plans and place orders, with support for smart vehicle matching, accessible premium vehicle identification and smart vehicle control preference settings. Caocao Mobility has previously applied AI in areas such as smart dispatching, operations management and safety risk control, and plans to deepen the partnership, expand to more cities and advance Robotaxi service development.

China NEV Sales Rankings: Leapmotor Overtakes Tesla, BYD Dominates

According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), August 2026 new energy vehicle (NEV) wholesale sales reached an estimated 1.51 million units, up 16% year-on-year and 4% month-on-month, indicating continued robust market expansion. BYD secured the top position with an overwhelming 433,384 units, creating a gap of nearly 260,000 vehicles against second-place Geely (173,675 units). The most eye-catching development was Leapmotor delivering 103,129 units, surpassing Tesla China (86,166 units) for the second consecutive month above the 100,000-unit threshold. XPeng delivered 39,107 units, Li Auto 37,679 units, NIO 35,836 units, and Xiaomi Auto maintained its position above 30,000 units. Cumulative NEV retail sales from January to August 2026 reached approximately 8.869 million units, with a penetration rate of 52%, confirming NEVs as the market mainstream.
