The campaign focuses on four dimensions: production consistency, reliability, durability, and the testing and validation of new technologies.
For the industry, "production consistency" refers to consistency between mass-produced vehicles and the vehicles filed for announcement and used in type testing, which is a core element of access management. The one-year timeframe indicates sustained regulatory attention to quality in the mass-production stage, rather than a one-off, time-limited inspection.
2. Industry Initiative: CAAM Calls for an End to "Pseudo-Innovation"
On the same day, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers issued an initiative calling on the entire industry to eliminate "pseudo-innovation" and hold fast to safety bottom lines. The point of this statement lies in balancing the speed of introducing new technologies with the adequacy of validation.
In recent years, the pace of iteration in intelligent driving, electric drive and battery fields has accelerated markedly, with terms such as "first launch" and "the first" appearing frequently. Against this backdrop, industry organizations emphasizing safety bottom lines are signaling that product validation should not be compressed because of launch schedules.
3. Corporate Response: GAC Says It Insists on Not Building "Rushed Cars"
In response to this special action, GAC Group recently issued a statement, explicitly stating that it insists on not building "rushed cars," opposes compressing validation cycles, and emphasizes a long-term approach to controlling R&D and manufacturing processes.

In terms of production consistency, GAC applies the principle of "do not accept, do not produce, do not pass on nonconforming products" at every process step; its manufacturing processes use laser online inspection systems and intelligent torque management systems, enabling lifelong traceability of data on critical fastening points; a sampling inspection mechanism based on quality benchmark documents is in place for incoming parts, and a three-level inspection system is implemented for finished vehicles leaving the plant.
In terms of reliability and durability, GAC conducts full-stack self-developed testing in the three-electric systems: the Magazine Battery remains smoke-free and fire-free under extreme conditions such as nail penetration and gunfire; the Quark Electric Drive 2.0 has been certified as a "High-Quality Electric Drive" by CATARC. Vehicle validation adopts the "five-high, one-mountain, one-dust" extreme testing standard, covering environments including extreme cold, extreme heat, high altitude, and high humidity and corrosion. Taking the Trumpchi Yue 7 as an example, the model underwent "two winters and two summers" and millions of kilometers of real-road testing, and completed durability testing equivalent to 500,000 kilometers.
In terms of new technology safety, GAC has formulated 360 bottom-line quality and safety criteria covering nine dimensions, making clear that safety has absolute priority in any conflict; its Xingling Safety Guardian System applies dual-redundancy design to key systems to meet the safety requirements of L3 and above autonomous driving.
4. Quality Standards and Overseas Credibility
For overseas business, production consistency and durability are not merely domestic issues. Overseas markets are highly sensitive to recalls, compliance and after-sales quality data; once batch consistency deviations occur, the handling costs and brand impact often extend beyond a single market. Beyond tariffs and compliance issues, quality and consistency also continue to draw the attention of overseas regulators and channel partners.
From this perspective, the 360 bottom-line quality and safety criteria, the "five-high, one-mountain, one-dust" extreme testing and the durability testing equivalent to 500,000 kilometers essentially constitute a validation language that can be explained to outside parties. Their role is not only to pass domestic regulatory inspections, but also to provide verifiable quality evidence to overseas dealers and consumers.
