Huawei, JAC and Maserati in talks for cooperation: Chinese intelligent driving platform may enter ultra-luxury ranks under a “dual-brand” model

Reuters reported that Stellantis is in negotiations with Huawei and JAC Motors over a long-term cooperation for Maserati, intending to adopt Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility platform. The first jointly developed model targets production before the end of 2027 and may adopt a dual-brand model: MAEXTRO in the Chinese market and Maserati in overseas markets. Maserati’s global shipments in 2025 were less than 8,000 units, with an adjusted operating loss of €198 million. Improving capacity utilization at the Cassino and Modena plants is Stellantis’s core demand.

Seres NEV Sales Plunge 43.96% in August, AITO Slowdown Sparks Concern

In August 2026, Seres Group reported NEV sales of 24,244 units, a steep year-on-year decline of 43.96% — a sharp contrast to the overall growth trajectory of China's NEV market. The core AITO brand saw an even more severe drop of 49.68%, while cumulative NEV sales for January-August fell 12.58%. Against the backdrop of BYD exceeding 440,000 units and Leapmotor surpassing 100,000 in August, Seres' correction has triggered deep discussion about its product cycle timing and competitive strategy.
