June 2026 Power Battery Installations Surge Over 30% YoY; Energy Storage Batteries Grow Even Faster

The China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released June 2026 data showing sustained high-speed growth in the power battery sector. Combined production of power and energy storage batteries reached 206.0 GWh in June, up 59.5% YoY. Combined sales hit 196.0 GWh, up 49.1% YoY. Energy storage battery growth (67.5%) significantly outpaced power batteries (41.8%), with export share continuing to climb.
