The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) released latest data showing China's vehicle exports reached 1.037 million units in June, up 11.6% month-on-month and 75.1% year-on-year, marking the first time monthly exports exceeded one million. NEV exports totaled 523,000 units, surging 160% YoY. Cumulative H1 exports hit 5.096 million units, up 65.3%.
The "15th Five-Year Plan" Carbon Peak Action Plan was officially released, setting clear targets for the transportation sector: NEV stock ratio to reach 30% by 2030, and new energy commercial vehicle stock ratio to reach 25%. As of end-2025, China's NEV stock ratio was approximately 12%, requiring more than doubling over five years. The plan also calls for scaled development of new energy storage and accelerated ultra-high voltage transmission construction.
GAC Group announced a partnership with Brazilian operator GreenV and ride-hailing platform 99 to deploy 242 fast-charging stations in Brazil by 2030. Brazil's EV market is experiencing explosive growth while charging infrastructure severely lags behind, with a vehicle-to-charger ratio of 18.7:1. BYD's premium brand Denza will globally launch its first all-electric two-door sports car, the Denza Z, at the UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 9. The vehicle features a triple-motor system delivering 1,582 hp peak power, sub-2-second 0-100 km/h acceleration, and a top speed of 350 km/h. It also debuts China's first fully in-house steer-by-wire system and the industry's first magnetorheological suspension for NEVs.
