Chery European Exports Surge 274%, Reshaping China's PV Export Landscape
According to the Gasgoo Automotive Research Institute, China's passenger vehicle exports in H1 2026 showed clear regional divergence. Central and South America recorded the strongest growth, Europe continued rapid penetration, and Southeast Asia remained highly competitive. Chery led the European market with 262,331 units and a year-on-year increase of 274.1%, while Leapmotor and Changan also posted impressive growth rates. Chinese automakers are shifting from scale-driven expansion toward region-specific overseas strategies.
